add spanishh A Movement for Cultural Preservation

More Than Dance-A Community Resource
Beyond dance, Nuestra Lucha MN serves as a “One Stop Shop” for Latino and Hispanic residents of North Minneapolis and surrounding areas, offering vital resources and services based on community needs. Language accessibility and culturally mindful service applications remain at the heart of this initiative, driven by strong collaborative relationships with community partners.
Recently, under the initiative “Preguntas y Respuestas con Abogadas de Inmigración,” Nuestra Lucha MN hosted a free event featuring immigration lawyers to ensure that our community has access to critical legal information during times of need. This initiative is yet another example of the power of collaboration, reinforcing our mission to provide support and resources to those who need them most.
Nuestra Lucha MN is dedicated to empowering the Latino community, ensuring that no child, family, or individual is left without opportunities to celebrate and uphold their heritage. Their work stands as a beacon of cultural pride, resilience, and unity.

At the age of ten, she moved to Albert Lea, Minnesota, navigating the challenges of learning a new language and culture. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants who did not complete formal education, Viviana faced numerous obstacles but remained determined to break barriers. She became the first in her family to earn a Bachelor’s degree, all while working and raising a newborn as a single mother.
